The Vectorworks Embodied Carbon Calculator (VECC) provides you with the ability to assess embodied carbon emissions through a project’s lifecycle. The analysis looks at individual materials, a project’s lifecycle stages, and benchmarks for set targets.
During the webinar, attendees will hear of standards, guidance, and legislation that drive embodied carbon to the front of the sustainable construction conversation. Presenter Luka Stefanovic, Senior Architecture Industry Specialist, will demonstrate assessing the carbon footprint of a design with built-in tools that enable regular evaluations during the design process.
Troy Diamond, Technical Support Specialist, RAIA, will host the webinar and a brief Q&A on how VECC can be utilised for Australian workflows.
With the Vectorworks Embodied Carbon Calculator, you’ll have the power to gather metrics and make informed decisions as you look to achieve carbon-reducing targets.
This webinar is equivalent to one (1) hour of formal CPD upon completion of assessment. Download your questionnaire here.
Please note: A recording of the presentation will be made available to all registrants after the webinar for revision purposes only. All registrants who wish to obtain their CPD must attend the live session. Attendees entering the webinar more than 5 minutes after the webinar begins, or leaving more than 5 minutes before the webinar's conclusion, will not be eligible for CPD.
Attendees will:
- Have the concept of embodied carbon and whole life cycle carbon assessment explained.
- Be able to list the project lifecycle stages.
- Learn types of carbon data sources and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD).
- Gain deeper understanding of the methods of embodied carbon calculation and data visualisation.
- Learning outcomes relate to the following Performance Criteria from the National Standard of Competency for Architects: PC10, PC35.
