Join us for a two-day exploration of graphics, documentation, and data management in Vectorworks. This class is another step in your learning journey with Vectorworks.

On day 1, we will focus on graphic controls and creating custom graphic resources. You will learn about line types, hatches, tiles, gradients, and images through structured exercises, exploring their applications in illustrative design and traditional black-and-white construction documentation.

Next, you will learn how to harness the power of Symbols in Vectorworks to improve the efficiency and consistency of your designs. Then, you will explore how to create template files to streamline project setup, including creating custom title blocks and establishing graphic standards. By mastering the creation of custom resources and standards, you will also learn best practices for resource management.

On day 2, you will enhance your understanding of Viewports and their controls for efficient project output. You will go beyond the basics, learning how to create and manage Section and Detail Viewports and how to configure file referencing to streamline your workflow. Continuing to build your understanding of how to document your designs, you will explore key documentation tools, enabling you to produce clean, graphically diverse documentation tailored to your style or company's standards.

Additionally, you will explore data and data management within Vectorworks. You will learn how to create and utilize Record Formats, Data Tags, and Worksheets. Finally, you will explore how to incorporate Data Visualization into your workflow. Understanding how to graphically control and analyze your designs will set the stage for efficient and profitable projects.

This two-day class is part of our Intermediate Series. These classes will further develop your understanding of Vectorworks tools, commands, and workflows, giving you the building blocks to generate graphically sound, efficient, and profitable designs.
