Vectorworks Landmark Advanced Workflows I (2 Days)

Course Information

Audience: Landscape Architects and Designers
Date: 7/19/23 - 7/20/23
Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM PDT
Cost: $900

Description
All great designs start with quality base files. This course will begin by covering the multitude of advanced options for generating and importing site information. From imagery to PDFs, DWGs, Shapefiles, GIS data, and so much more. From the start, learn to utilize these methods in an effective manner to achieve a highly productive workflow for base file setup.

Next, you will explore design progression, from concept through design development. The progression of a design can sometimes seem confusing. We will demystify the process while showing best practices for your workflow. We will start with a concept drawing while adding found data and mining any data necessary for context. From there, we will discuss using many of Vectorworks Landmark's advanced tools to move efficiently to the schematic phase, including renders. Let’s not forget the design development stage, applying and using in-depth datasets to specify the site further while also covering rapid alterations to the design. We will show how to effectively leverage the advanced components of Vectorworks to make this painless and profitable for you and your firm.

Finally, you will dive into company graphic standards and resource management. Everyone has “their look.” You will learn not only where to set your graphic standards, but also best practices for management of those standards. And of course, you will learn many tips and tricks along the way, that will save you time and even a few secrets our Landmark usage wizards have concocted.

Irrigation and Water Efficient Design in Vectorworks (1 Day)

Course Information

Audience: Landscape Architects and Designers
Date: 7/21/23
Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM PDT
Cost: $450
Location: IATSE Local 80 - 2520 West Olive Ave., Burbank, CA 91505

Description

This class will teach you how to create productive, efficient, and profitable irrigation designs using Vectorworks Landmark. You will dive deep into the unique functionality of the software and learn best practices to achieve the appropriate outcome for your design.

In addition, you will explore water-efficient design. Conserving water is a must, and to help achieve this, you will learn best practices for water efficiency using the irrigation tools in Vectorworks Landmark. Then understand how to document and report this information using robust documentation systems and reporting platforms embedded in the software. Even report out for EPA WaterSense and MWELO automatically.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand and utilize the entire suite of Irrigation Tools
  • Learn to generate standard quantity reports used for irrigation design.
  • Learn how to use the irrigation tools to generate proposed water usage per zone.
  • Learn to create efficient irrigation by reading reported data and modifying the design effectively.
  • Learn to create Water efficiency reports such as WaterSense and MWELO.

Prerequisites

Completion of the Vectorworks Core Concepts class and/or successful completion of the Vectorworks Core Associate Certification.
